if you have clicked over from a link, take some time to look around the blog... i promise i don't bite
a word of warning here - this room is a "work" room, not a "show" room....you won't find any fancy product displays or super neat storage units in my sandbox, i make messes and enjoy every minute of it. since i dabble in so many different types of crafting, i have had to pack a lot of stuff into one room. currently i am sewing out of another room in the basement, crochet/needlework in the family room and beading in my bedroom because those are "clean" crafts. i am creative kudzu, i spread out and take over....
each of my cabinets is full to near explosion. i have two of these "carts" in each of the long cabinets and one of the short ones. the lower and upper portions of the tall cabinets have loose stuff and stuff in clear containers. this particular cabinet is my acrylic paints, mediums and some canvas with rolls of frisket and such jammed in with frames and albums. i have a cart for polymer clay, one for ink pads, then one each for brushes, wooden items, fibers, sewing notions, kids crafts, etc....
one short cabinet is all die cut/cutters. every cabinet is so jammed packed that i don't know where i am going to put the rest of the boxes i need to organize that are in the storage room....i better just start using it all up don't you think?
the door leading to the kids rec room. behind it are my stamps, 4 deep in pantry door shelving. also have a light box, embossing trays and a clock i am planning to embellish on the top shelf. my metal board has my drawing on it (to inspire me and remind me that i can do it if i set my mind to it) above are two of my first watercolors and the middle oil pastel is by my daughter maria. sink on the left - a must with my messes! and there is an assortment of junk on the countertop along with an ipod dock and an embellishment cabinet. under the sink is a big container with tiles for mosaics.
this side of the room has my water cooler/fridge, toaster oven (for clay), buffy paint can, lots of drawers with all sorts of embellishments, scissors, papers, adhesives, etc. plus containers of spray paints and such. there are some pods from miami i am saving, some blue cardigan papers on the wall, one of maria's collages (she won a reflections award for it), my panty page, a postcard from tia, suzy toronto's coffee painting, and a purse i made for a challenge. against the wall are some oversized canvases and a birdhouse i need to paint.
this is the other side of the room - duh- and the doors that go outside. see my citrus windchime? i have laundry baskets above the cabinets filled with things like tissue paper, foam stamps, stencils, containers for altering, styrofoam shapes, etc. you can see my beading mess clearly now...i always have some project spread all over the table. i try to be neat but somehow it never happens. hopefully when i get the room 'finished' i will be able to post better photos....i have some more decorating to do and lots more to organize...

I think you did pretty good getting it all out of boxes and put away...you know where it is so that is organized enough. Ah, organizing....I *like* to organize, remember? I would loooove to have that much stuff to organize....heck, I just want that much to play with!! Love the green with the blacks. And the doors going outside would be awesome so all the stinky stuff could be easily carried out there to work. So glad you finally shared!
