think i'll go for a walk.....literally (apologies to python people)
i have been really swamped since school let out and here we are again - back in school with projects galore!
spent the summer getting into walking (i walked 100 miles during my time at the beach - yeah for me!).... i also started doing yoga and pilates (i am super flexible but seriously lacking in the balance dept). i have learned to embrace exercise in many different forms but still shun aerobics (all that bouncing and leaping...not to mention the fact that my lack of rhythm renders me hopelessly confused on even a simple grapevine step). in addition i have totally changed my eating habits - i have become one of those people i used to make fun of! i eat healthy, a lot of organic and almost no processed foods. add that to giving up sugar over a year ago and it makes for a chick who is no fun at pot lucks (ha!). i have been losing weight again, after a year long plateau...thanks to exercise but also the wise advice of my physical therapist (knee surgery in feb). he told me i wasn't losing weight because i wasn't eating enough. seriously, how funny is that? i was not taking in enough calories to cover my basal metabolic rate so my body went into starvation mode....gruesome huh? so i have increased my intake but not indulging...things are moving along slowly. as of today i am up to around 65 pounds lost, only 35 or so to go....to celebrate i got my nose pierced (yeah, i am a rebel)
